Today, Stellantis began production of the new Citroën Basalt Coupé SUV at the Porto Real Automotive Pole plant in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil. The product completes the C-Cubo project , started by the C3 and the new C3 Aircross .

With a well-thought-out range of regional versions and a bold design, Basalt displays powerful and muscular lines, as well as high ground clearance, an upright front end, a high bonnet, flared wings and wheel arches with different geometric shapes.

It also offers unique on-board comfort thanks to the spacious family model cabin, which takes advantage of the modern architecture of the CMP variant .

Basalt was developed in South America and will soon be launched in the region. Along with the C4 Cactus, C3 and C3 Aircross; which also offer a strong character and unique Citroën experience ; the product family will contribute to the brand’s international growth and reinforce its commitment to offering its customers the best technology with a focus on efficiency without sacrificing performance.
